Job Description

Supply Chain Planner.

  • Annual Salary: Up to £40,000 depending upon experience
  • Location: South Birmingham 
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Supply Chain Planner. This role is pivotal in managing inventory levels and forecasting demand to ensure business needs and customer satisfaction are met. It is suited for individuals who excel in a collaborative environment and are proficient in using advanced forecasting tools.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and execute inventory management plans to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Analyse sales patterns, market trends, and seasonal fluctuations to forecast future demand accurately.
  • Utilise a leading forecasting & replenishment system, to manage demand forecasts, product lifecycles, and order placements.
  • Collaborate daily with Category Management, Branch Operations, Central Distribution, and Suppliers to monitor stock levels and track the progress of purchase orders through the supply chain.
  • Lead regular review meetings with stakeholders to discuss forecast accuracy, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
  • Employ strong analytical and numerical reasoning skills, maintain excellent organisation, and demonstrate effective communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Planner or in a similar role within supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical forecasting and inventory management software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
