We’re looking for a reliable and proactive Janitor/Cleaner to join our client's facilities team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:- General cleaning and upkeep of school buildings
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors
- Cleaning and restocking toilets
- Securing the site after hours (locking doors, setting alarms)
- Minor repairs and reporting major issues
- Waste disposal and parcel portering
- Setting up rooms for exams and school events
- Stock management of cleaning supplies
- Supporting contractors on-site when needed
- Participating in evening/weekend rota and emergency call-outs (paid overtime)
Overtime may be required at short notice, although we will aim to give as much notice as possible. Any overtime worked will be paid at standard rates.
What We’re Looking For:- Positive attitude and team spirit
- Experience in cleaning or janitorial work
- Basic building maintenance knowledge
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Basic English, numeracy, and computer skills
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (we’ll cover the cost)
