Reed Education Cardiff are currently seeking Teaching Assistants for long-term, temporary positions within a specialist school located within the outskirts of Cardiff. These roles could potentially become permanent.
The school, currently situated within the outskirts of the city centre, is a specialist provision supporting pupils with Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD). The establishment holds 42 primary-aged pupils who have a statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) who require specialist teaching and learning along with additional support.
Within the school site, there are 6 classrooms with a maximum ratio of 7 pupils in one class, with 1 Teacher and at least 2 Teaching Assistants within the classroom, providing full support to individual needs.
As the Teaching Assistant, you will have/will be:
- A dedicated, patient, and hardworking individual ready to become an integral part of the school\’s community
- Enthusiastic about guiding young people through their learning and development journeys
- Experienced in supporting pupils with BESD or similar needs
- A proactive, forward-thinking individual who can adapt and step in as needed
- Highly motivated, resilient, and proactive
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one
The salary for this position is currently set between £12.82-14 per hour, depending on experience.
