We are seeking a dedicated SEND/SEMH Driver to join our team, responsible for the safe transportation of 6 young children. This role requires a compassionate individual who has prior experience in driving vulnerable individuals within sectors such as NHS, care homes, or educational settings. Day-to-day of the role:
- Safely transport 6 young children to and from our educational setting.
- Operate on a split shift schedule, 5 days a week, ensuring punctuality and reliability.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Monitor and manage the children’s behaviour and safety during transport.
- Keep accurate records of travel logs, vehicle maintenance, and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding any concerns or incidents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be over the age of 25.
- Experience in driving vulnerable individuals, preferably in NHS, care homes, doctors’ offices, or schools.
- Possess a clean driving licence.
- Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A patient and caring demeanor, with a commitment to the safety and well-being of children.
