Reed are working exclusively with a growing Engineering/Construction focused business, as they look to appoint their next SHEQ Manager. Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the senior leadership team you will champion.

Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver on accreditation processes under the requirements of SSIP, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standard compliance.
- Ensure the company's Integrated Management System remains compliant with ISO standards.
- Update the system to ensure compliance with all applicable Health, Safety & Environmental legislation.
- Maintain company memberships, licences, and facilitate supply chain approval processes.
- Manage the SHEQ team, including task distribution and documentation.
- Provide Safe Systems of Work, undertake Risk Assessments, and procure site-specific RAMS.
- Conduct personal and individual competency-based risk assessments.
- Undertake COSHH Assessments and monitor environmental impacts.
- Report on Monitoring & Measuring data and manage non-conformance reporting systems.
- Analyse training needs and facilitate external training requirements.
- Appraise supply chain partners and manage emergency preparedness.
- Chair Senior Management Review and SHE Committee Meetings.
- Set audit schedules and undertake internal audits.
- Manage department expenditure and projections.
- Monitor and collate Quality Performance and Customer Feedback.
- Oversee document control functions across the business and provide communication and training materials.
- Relevant certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, health & safety, or a related management role, with construction industry experience beneficial.
- Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in using software tools related to quality management and safety compliance.
- Experience in leading internal and external audits for quality and safety standards.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing H&S policies and procedures.
- Experience in handling compliance with ISO standards and regulatory health & safety requirements.
