Job Description

Senior Social Worker
  • Location: Doncaster
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Hours: 36 per week
  • Salary: £38,653 – £42,728 per annum

Join our Inspiring Futures Team (IFT) as a Senior Social Worker, dedicated to supporting young people aged 17-25 who are currently in or have been in care. Our team comprises Social Workers, Personal Advisors, and Education, Training, and Employment (ETE) Advisors. We focus on creating comprehensive Pathway Plans covering various life aspects to ensure holistic support for our young people.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and review Pathway Plans every six months or upon significant life changes.
  • Work closely with external agencies and partners including Housing, Health, Police, and Adult Social Care to deliver integrated services.
  • Engage directly with young people to support their personal development and transition to independence.
  • Monitor and respond to the changing needs of the individuals under your care, ensuring that all interventions and support plans are effective and timely.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • BA or MA in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working with children and families, ideally as a qualified social worker.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with children, families, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • Ability to analyse information effectively and produce high-quality assessments.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and resilience in challenging situations.
