Reed Practice is recruiting for a Senior Accountant on behalf of a highly respected and growing accountancy firm based in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant seeking a client-facing role with real responsibility and progression within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
- Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors, delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services
- Prepare and review statutory accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns
- Assist with corporation tax computations and liaise with HMRC where necessary
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and supporting their development
- Build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact
- Support partners with ad hoc projects and contribute to the firm’s continued growth
About You
- You are ACA or ACCA qualified and have solid experience in general practice accounting within a UK accountancy firm
- Possess strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and tax principles
- Are confident managing client relationships and mentoring junior team members
- Have excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Are proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office
- Thrive in a collaborative and professional team environment
