Reed Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wakefield, seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team.
This is a full-time role supporting a group of six children with complex SEND needs, where your expertise and compassion will make a lasting impact. The successful candidate will play a vital role in nurturing development, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to children with a range of complex SEND needs within EYFS.
- Assist with personal care duties, including nappy changing, in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages engagement and progress.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to reviews and planning meetings.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Proven experience supporting children with SEND, particularly in Early Years.
