Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant – EYFS (Wakefield Primary)

Reed Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wakefield, seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team.

This is a full-time role supporting a group of six children with complex SEND needs, where your expertise and compassion will make a lasting impact. The successful candidate will play a vital role in nurturing development, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to children with a range of complex SEND needs within EYFS.
  • Assist with personal care duties, including nappy changing, in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages engagement and progress.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to reviews and planning meetings.
