One-to-One Teaching Assistant

  • Hourly Rate: £14.18
  • Location: Ribble Valley
  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

We are currently seeking a One-to-One Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a Year 3 pupil in a school located in the Ribble Valley. This part-time role requires a compassionate and committed individual who can start immediately.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one support to a Year 3 pupil, focusing on both academic and personal development.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of educational materials and activities.
  • Help manage the pupil\'s behaviour and promote positive classroom conduct.
  • Support the pupil during classroom activities and ensure they engage effectively.
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor the pupil\'s progress and adapt support strategies as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with teachers and parents to discuss the child\'s development and any concerns.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with experience in a similar one-to-one role.
  • Strong understanding of the educational needs of children at the primary level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to student support.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
