We are seeking dedicated SEND Teachers who are looking for opportunities from the new academic year in Maidstone.

We are looking for people who have experience with the following:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences for SEND students.
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives specific for students with autism and other special educational needs.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students\’ varying needs and interests.
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
  • Observe and evaluate student performance and development.
  • Provide appropriate feedback on work.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students\’ progress and development.
  • Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws and school policies.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
  • Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with autism.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary and secondary education system.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that encourages student learning and social interaction.
  • Patience, resilience, and dedication to education and student development.
