Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)? We are seeking dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant and supportive team at a highly regarded special school in Hull.

About the School: Our school caters to children and young people aged 2-19 with a range of complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, and autism spectrum conditions. Day-to-Day Life: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students' learning and development. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students.
  • Helping to create a safe and stimulating learning environment.
  • Supporting students with personal care needs, where necessary.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for our students.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential.
  • DBS Check: An enhanced DBS check on the update service is required.
  • Skills: Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
