Are you passionate about making education accessible for all learners? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with visual impairments in a specialist SEND school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with visual impairments.
- Adapt learning materials into accessible formats (e.g., Braille, large print, tactile resources).
- Assist with mobility and orientation around the school environment.
- Work closely with the class teacher and external specialists to implement EHCP targets.
- Foster independence and confidence in learners through consistent, supportive interaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting children or young people with visual impairments.
