Job Description

Secondary School Teaching Assistant

  • Hourly Rate: Β£15-Β£17
  • Location: E7, London
  • Job Type: Guaranteed Shifts week to week, Long Term Opportunities
  • Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

We are currently working with a school in Stratford that is heavily engaged in community spirit and specialise in debate and music and has won an award for their excellence in pupil development and has received a β€˜Good’ rating from Ofsted.

The school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant who thrives from ensuring that a pupil has the best development. This role has guaranteed weekly shifts and long-term opportunities, ideal for those who are flexible and read to engage with students.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist the teacher in preparation and delivery of the lesson
  • Support the class and small groups to help them understand the material and complete given tasks
  • Work closes with the teachers to track progress and provide feedback for improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant
  • Passionate about education and pupil development
