Join our Central Change team, which is pivotal in managing the organisation's large, complex, and cross-functional projects. As a Project Manager, you will be instrumental in upholding our project management and governance methodology, maintaining our portfolio of projects, and providing essential support and facilitation to the business.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Adhere to and serve as a subject matter expert in our PMO governance and project management methodology.
  • Define, plan, monitor, and own the project approach throughout the Project Lifecycle, ensuring key metrics are achieved.
  • Create, maintain, and review project plans and schedules, adjusting as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Facilitate project meetings, develop meeting agendas, lead on project communications, and ensure project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Motivate key team members and engage stakeholders at every level to ensure project success.
  • Report regularly on project progress and the delivery of planned benefits, including forecasting to maintain financial controls.
  • Manage all project risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively mitigating or resolving roadblocks.
  • Manage project scope, dependencies, resources, costs, and budgets effectively.
  • Handle change control and configuration management, assessing subsequent impacts as required.
  • Capture lessons learned from the project, retaining and sharing them appropriately.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews as necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven project or programme management experience, with a solid track record of using relevant tools and methodologies to deliver objectives on time and within budget.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to anticipate and mitigate issues that may impact the project.
  • Highly organised with robust time-management skills.
  • Project Management certifications (APM, Prince2, PMI) are preferred.
