Regional Subject Lead - Mathematics and Numeracy

Job Type: 1 Year FTC - 3 days per weekLocation: Southampton and London

Are you a Maths Teacher with Senior Leadership looking for an exciting new role?

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking an exceptional Maths Specialist Teacher with Senior Leadership to fulfil a year-long, fixed-term contract for a large multi-academy! 

What does the role entail?

  • Focussing on key areas including Strategic Direction and Support, Teaching and Learning, and Building Capacity with the outcome of improving learner outcomes and transforming education frameworks to enhance the quality of education that is provided
  • Personal development with access to up-to-date research and best practice within the curriculum, pedagogy and assessment
  • Work in collaboration with Trust Directors, such as the National Maths Lead and Regional Director to provide a well-rounded plan for education development

What do you need for this role?

  • Qualified Teacher Status and degree within the subject, along with evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Ability to manage and motivate a high-performing team 
  • Willing to travel between school clusters (2 days Southampton and 1 day London - TBC)
  • Ability to analyse the quality of teaching and leadership skills accurately
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours and attitudes to use of authority and maintaining discipline
