Quality Engineer
New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer
Salary: Β£32,000 β Β£38,500 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday β Thursday 8:00am β 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am β 3:30pm
A leading advanced manufacturing organisation is seeking a proactive and technically skilled NPI Engineer to lead new product introduction projects from concept through to production. This is a hands-on role that bridges design, engineering, manufacturing, and quality, ensuring new products are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead NPI projects, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables
- Coordinate meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models
- Facilitate feasibility studies, risk assessments, and FMEA
- Optimise designs for manufacturability and performance
- Develop and document manufacturing processes
- Drive process improvements to reduce cost and improve quality
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers
- Support quality initiatives including audits and corrective actions
- Manage calibration, standards control, and supplier performance
- Analyse KPI data and lead continuous improvement initiatives
