Quality Engineer

New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer

Salary: £32,000 – £38,500 (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm

A leading advanced manufacturing organisation is seeking a proactive and technically skilled NPI Engineer to lead new product introduction projects from concept through to production. This is a hands-on role that bridges design, engineering, manufacturing, and quality, ensuring new products are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead NPI projects, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables
  • Coordinate meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models
  • Facilitate feasibility studies, risk assessments, and FMEA
  • Optimise designs for manufacturability and performance
  • Develop and document manufacturing processes
  • Drive process improvements to reduce cost and improve quality
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Support quality initiatives including audits and corrective actions
  • Manage calibration, standards control, and supplier performance
