Join our client, an award-winning, world-renowned specialist in decorative metal plating. With over 50 years of experience, we are a leader in the industry, providing luxury finishes across various sectors. They are currently seeking a WIP and Quality Administrator to join our Office/Quality Department, ensuring high-quality standards and superb finishes in line with our prestigious reputation.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Liaise with prestigious aerospace and automotive clients to manage customer accounts and ensure requirements are met.
- Facilitate customer orders and keep clients informed about the progress of their products, including any issues.
- Use various software packages, including Sage Accounts and Microsoft Office Suite, to produce documents and maintain records.
- Operate the Dataplate X internal database goods management system for booking parts, raising job cards, and tracking parts' progress.
- Record details of rejected parts from customers and raise rework orders to rectify defects and avoid future issues.
- Answer telephone inquiries, liaise with courier companies for deliveries, and prepare customs paperwork.
- Communicate with production staff to plan work and customer requirements during morning production meetings.
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in managing the Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety frameworks to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Teachable with a keen willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels.
- Experience in quality or quality assurance is beneficial but not necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with office environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
