Programme Manager – Engineering & Manufacturing
- Location: FE College based in Leeds
- Job Type:Â Full-time
- Salary: £38,651 – £42,223 per annum
We are seeking a Programme Manager for our Engineering and Manufacturing department. This role is pivotal in managing activities and strategies to ensure high retention, achievement, success, and attendance rates for identified courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and assessing essential knowledge and understanding to learners, managing the planning, preparation, and development of teaching resources, and leading quality assurance processes.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the delivery and assessment of learning across various courses within the Engineering and Manufacturing department.
- Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment plans, ensuring they meet educational standards and the needs of learners.
- Lead the creation of individual SMART learning targets linked to learner study programmes to ensure optimal learner progress.
- Record and monitor student progress, implementing interventions as necessary to ensure targets are met.
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure effective planning and development of online and in-person learning resources.
- Conduct and manage the assessment of student work, providing constructive feedback to aid in learner improvement.
- Participate in student recruitment activities, including interviews and open evenings, and contribute to the marketing of courses.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Holds a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE) – Essential
- Relevant highest level vocational qualification or degree in the teaching subject – Essential
- English and Maths at Level 2 or above, with a willingness to improve to Level 3 or above – Essential
- Extensive experience and knowledge in delivering a range of levels across the curriculum, demonstrating active learning and differentiated teaching styles – Essential
- Proven experience in managing staff and internal verification and moderation activities – Essential
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with effective management skills to ensure high performance – Essential
