An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Reception Teacher to join a dynamic team on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, resourcing, and delivering highly effective and inspiring lessons in accordance with the allocated timetable. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to ensuring students make exceptional progress and achieve excellent academic results.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate students, ensuring high standards of learning and achievement.
- Participate in a designated tutor team, leading effective tutor periods and contributing to the pastoral care of students.
- Design and implement engaging and challenging schemes of work and lessons in collaboration with colleagues.
- Maintain discipline across all aspects of the role and support the school in enforcing school policies.
- Prepare for Ofsted inspections and other benchmarking assessments, ensuring readiness and compliance with all standards.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the school and the Trust, upholding professionalism and integrity at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A good first degree in a relevant discipline.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- PGCE or other suitable teaching qualification.
- Proven experience of teaching at the Early Years Foundation Stage, with specific experience in Reception being highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years curriculum and the ability to implement effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Commitment to professional development and willingness to engage in further training.
