About the Role:
Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a real difference in the classroom? We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and welcoming primary school on a long-term basis, with the potential to become a permanent member of staff.
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with class teachers to support pupils across a range of abilities and year groups. Your role will be vital in helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
- Delivering small group interventions and one-to-one support
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting the school’s values
- Helping to assess and track pupil progress
- Passionate about education and child development
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable
- A strong communicator and team player
- Ideally experienced in a school or childcare setting (but not essential)
- Committed to the long-term success of the pupils and the school
 Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant qualifications or experience working with children is desirable
- Experience working in a school in the UK.
- Be able to reliably commute to Andover.
