We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to join our team in a dual role as a Year 2 Class Teacher on Tuesdays and a Whole School Cover Teacher on Wednesdays. This position is ideal for a flexible and committed educator who enjoys variety and working across different year groups.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Year 2 Teacher (Tuesdays)
- Job share with the current Year 2 teacher.
- Curriculum areas to be agreed based on your skills and interests.
- Focus on early reading, including Phase 6 phonics.
- Manage a class of 20 pupils, with no high-level needs.
- Cover Teacher (Wednesdays)
- Morning: Provide cover for classes during leadership release time.
- Afternoon: Deliver PPA cover for Year 1 and Year 2, with subjects based on your expertise.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching KS1, particularly Year 2.
- Strong understanding of phonics and early reading development.
- Ability to adapt and teach across different subjects and year groups.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
