Key Responsibilities

As a Power BI Developer, you will:

  • Design and develop semantic models that support business decision-making and deep analytical insights.
  • Build tabular models using Microsoft Power BI and Azure Analysis Services.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting systems including Power BI and SQL Server.
  • Ensure accuracy through rigorous testing and user acceptance checklists.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust solutions and governance processes.
  • Document dataflows consistently and to high standards.
  • Support colleagues in developing solutions aligned with business needs.

You will not be creating Dashboards but will focus purely on the creation of data semantics for reports.

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A degree in computing, statistics, mathematics, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer.
  • Strong data modelling skills and familiarity with cloud-based data sources and Microsoft Fabric.
  • A solid background in delivering Power BI/Microsoft Analytics solutions with governance awareness.
  • Expertise in building data semantics for Power BIreports using SQL, DAX, and Power BI.
  • Experience gathering BI requirements and understanding business needs at various levels.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • A proactive, self-managed approach in a dynamic environment.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and resolve issues effectively.
  • A flexible and responsive attitude to work demands.
