Key Responsibilities
As a Power BI Developer, you will:
- Design and develop semantic models that support business decision-making and deep analytical insights.
- Build tabular models using Microsoft Power BI and Azure Analysis Services.
- Maintain and enhance reporting systems including Power BI and SQL Server.
- Ensure accuracy through rigorous testing and user acceptance checklists.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust solutions and governance processes.
- Document dataflows consistently and to high standards.
- Support colleagues in developing solutions aligned with business needs.
You will not be creating Dashboards but will focus purely on the creation of data semantics for reports.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone with:
- A degree in computing, statistics, mathematics, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer.
- Strong data modelling skills and familiarity with cloud-based data sources and Microsoft Fabric.
- A solid background in delivering Power BI/Microsoft Analytics solutions with governance awareness.
- Expertise in building data semantics for Power BIreports using SQL, DAX, and Power BI.
- Experience gathering BI requirements and understanding business needs at various levels.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- A proactive, self-managed approach in a dynamic environment.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and resolve issues effectively.
