Job Type: Temporary (6 weeks)
We are seeking 3 individuals to join our team for a 6-week period, starting on 30th March 2026. This role involves assisting with the refit and maintenance of equipment. It is ideal for candidates who are physically fit, have good communication skills, and are confident around water.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Communicate effectively using radios and understand their operational use.
- Engage in physical activities such as being on feet for the entire shift and pulling ropes/boats weighing approximately 25 kilos.
- Adhere to safety procedures and follow operational instructions diligently.
- Work shifts that include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays; candidates should have no holidays booked during the tenure of the role.
- Maintain cleanliness in operational outside areas and onboard a ferry, including sweeping and picking up litter.
- Direct traffic and provide basic customer service, taking instructions via a traffic light and communications routine.
- Display a flexible, team-focused approach with clear communication skills and a can-do attitude.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks.
- Good awareness of safety procedures and ability to follow instructions.
- Experience or confidence in working around water; lifejackets training will be provided.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Basic customer service skills and ability to direct traffic.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
