Job Description

Location: MOD Base, Cyprus

Contract: 1-Year Fixed Term

Start Date: Subject to MOD Security Clearance (approx. 1 month)

Teaching Hours: 45–50 hours per fortnight

Class Size: Approximately 3–12 pupils per class

This role offers the chance to teach British pupils abroad, delivering the UK curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A Level Physics.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Physics lessons, tailored to small class sizes of 3 to 12 students, and preparing pupils for standard UK examinations. The timetable comprises 45–50 teaching hours per fortnight, allowing for focused and impactful instruction.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – no exceptions
  • Experience teaching Physics across KS3–KS5 within the UK curriculum
  • Willingness to undergo an MOD Security Check (facilitated by us; approx. 1 month)
  • Disclosure of any medical requirements, as some may not be supported by army medical centres

Accommodation & Lifestyle:

Teachers will be accommodated in the Army Mess on base, offering a secure and sociable living arrangement. Alternative accommodation options such as hotels or AirBnB may be considered. Daily lunch is provided, and flights to and from Cyprus are fully covered.
