Room Leader – Lead with Confidence in a Nurturing Nursery Environment

We are looking for a confident and experienced Level 3 Qualified Practitioner to join our nursery team as a Room Leader starting in September. This is a key leadership role suited to someone passionate about early years education and skilled in managing a small team to deliver high-quality care and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily running of the room, ensuring routines and activities are well-organised and child-focused.
- Lead and support a team of up to 5–6 practitioners, promoting best practice and encouraging professional development.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Monitor and record children’s progress, identifying areas for support and development.
- Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and hygiene procedures are consistently followed.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues to build trust and transparency.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare.
- Previous experience as a Room Leader or in a supervisory role.
- Paediatric First Aid certification.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A proactive, professional, and nurturing approach to working with children and staff.
