Our client is expanding their engineering team and are looking for an experienced Pipe Fitter / Welder to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of steam and process pipework installations across industrial and commercial sites throughout the UK.
Role Overview
As a Pipe Fitter / Welder, you will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, and welding of steam and process pipework systems. You will work both independently and as part of an engineering team to deliver high-quality installations, upgrades, and repairs in line with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication and installation of carbon steel and stainless-steel pipework
- TIG welding, with MMA and MIG welding when required
- Installation of steam, condensate, and process systems
- Reading and interpreting isometric and fabrication drawings
- Completing site modifications, upgrades, and repair works
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and meets regulatory standards
- Working autonomously or within a multidisciplinary site team
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter / Welder
- Competent in TIG, MMA, and MIG welding
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong awareness of site health & safety
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional, reliable, and committed to quality workmanship
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
- Coded welding qualifications
- Experience with steam or boiler plant installations
- IPAF, PASMA or Confined Space certification
- Experience working in food, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environments
