Part-Time Management Accountant (12-month FTC) Location: Cambridge (Hybrid) Contract: Maternity Cover, 3 Days per Week

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Management Accountant to join our Finance team on a part-time maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional who values flexibility and thrives in a collaborative, supportive environment.

In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and effective cash flow management to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports to inform business decisions.
  • Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis for the Finance team, Directors, and CEO.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and ensure robust monitoring and control.
  • Assist with daily finance operations and help ensure team deadlines are met.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Qualified, part-qualified, or actively pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
  • Proven track record in preparing management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Experience with CRM system implementation or customer data migration.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
  • High integrity, strong work ethic, and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • Able to commute to our Cambridge office two days per week.

Desirable:

  • Experience using Sage accounting software.
