We are recruiting for a Management Accountant position for a leading operator in the property sector. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a significant impact on the lives of colleagues and customers. Day-to-day of the role:
- Produce month-end and year-end journals.
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Conduct monthly variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidations, and exception reporting.
- Support annual audit and tax return processes.
- Prepare, submit, and pay quarterly VAT and CIS returns.
- Analyse aged debtors and creditors.
- Monitor and recommend improvements to financial information systems.
- Contribute to annual budgeting and financial planning.
- Prepare bank covenant reporting.
- Oversee the outsourced accounts payable function.
- Act as a business partner for key finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Solid experience within the property industry.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Good understanding of CIS and VAT in the residential sector.
- A team player with a collaborative, “can do” attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience working with junior team members and outsourced providers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of Xero, Arthur, and Approval Max (desirable, not essential).
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Values aligned with the organisation's philosophy.
