Overview
My client is looking for a Management Accountant to join their wonderful team and be an integral part of their finance operations. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is crucial for maintaining accurate and sound management reporting of overhead costs and providing general purchase ledger services.
- Salary: Competitive with discretionary annual bonus
Responsibilities
- Post all incoming invoices onto the bought ledger, circulate and allocate to the nominal ledger.
- Match goods receipts against invoices and process all payments by cheque, BACS, and foreign transactions.
- Liaise with department managers regarding nominal processing and approval.
- Assist with the sales ledger and complete VAT returns as needed.
- Implement and maintain a robust purchase order process for the IT, Maintenance, and Marketing departments.
- Reconcile intercompany and supplier statements and assist in stock counts.
- Manage the Month End Process including bank reconciliations, audit reports, prepayments, and more.
- Assist in the Year End audits and work as a business partner with IT, Maintenance, and Marketing departments to produce accurate accruals, cost analysis, and reporting.
- Produce the budget and forecasts for IT, Maintenance, and Marketing departments.
- Assist the Finance & BI Reporting Manager to implement business process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas) and good IT knowledge.
- Ability to work collaboratively across all departments, prioritise workloads, and be self-motivated.
- Experience in using Microsoft D365.
- Experience in using and creating reports in PowerBI.
