Join a well-established horticultural organisation in the beautiful Shropshire countryside as a Maintenance Team Member. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about plants and enjoys working outdoors.Â
Day-to-day of the role:
- Carry out various plant care tasks including watering, weeding, feeding, pruning, mowing, and general maintenance.
- Assist with the planting, spacing, and labelling of trial plants.
- Monitor plant health and report any signs of pests or disease.
- Maintain clean, organised, and well-presented trial areas.
- Operate horticultural equipment safely, with training provided if needed.
- Work closely with the team leader to meet daily and seasonal priorities.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in horticulture, gardening, or outdoor work is beneficial but not essential.
- A genuine interest in plants and gardening.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions with attention to detail.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- A team player with a positive and flexible attitude.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Additional qualifications (e.g., tractor/telehandler licence, PA1/PA6 spraying certification) are desirable but not required—training can be provided.
