About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, proactiveMaintenance Operativeto join a well-established and growing team. This is astandalone rolereporting directly to the Finance & Property Manager, responsible for maintaining multiple sites across a wide geographical area. You’ll be trusted to manage your own time and workload, with flexibility around start and finish times – as long as the job gets done.

This is a varied and rewarding role that includes everything from kitchen and bathroom repairs to grounds maintenance and decorating. You’ll need to think on your feet, source parts as needed, and be comfortable travelling long distances, including occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair kitchens, bathrooms, toiletsand washroom facilities
  • Grounds maintenance: grass cutting, hedge trimming, tree pruning, litter collection
  • General building maintenance: tiling, painting, decorating, door fitting, and flooring
  • Support with toilet upgrade projects across sites
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with H&S standards
  • Keep tools and van in good working order
  • Complete remedial actions following H&S inspections
  • Represent the company values and maintain high standards across all sites

What We’re Looking For

  • DIY enthusiast or ex-trade professional with a broad skillset
  • Confident using power tools and working independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to source materials on the go
  • Comfortable with travel and staying away when required
  • Excellent communication and time management
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Experience with Oracle (desirable but not essential)
