Reed are collaborating with a well-established law firm in Derby who are looking for an outstanding individual to take on a role as a Legal Cashier. We are seeking a meticulous and organised person to handle our financial transactions in compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR). This role offers a competitive hourly rate and flexible working hours, ideal for those looking for a part-time opportunity in a professional setting.
Day-to-day of the role:- Process client and office account transactions adhering to Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR).
- Post daily banking transactions and reconcile client and office accounts.
- Ensure all payments and receipts are properly recorded and comply with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with financial reporting.
- Prepare and process bills, receipts, and payments, ensuring all transactions are timely and accurate.
- Assist with general office administration and other finance-related tasks as required.
- Previous experience in a legal cashier role within a law firm is essential.
- Knowledge of Solicitors Account Rules (SAR) and other relevant regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with legal cashiering software is an advantage.
