Learning Support Assistant / Pastoral Support

Salary: £13- £18 per hour / Ranging from £18,000 – £30,000 per annum. Location: We are recruiting in several FE locations across the North. Job Type: Temporary and Permanent positions available. Working Hours: Part-time and Full-time positions available.

Available Roles

Reed Further Education are excited to work with Further Education Colleges across the North to recruit Lecturers to deliver accredited courses to young people.

Day-to-Day responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated support to students with additional learning needs, ensuring they can access and engage with the curriculum effectively.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of personalised support plans, working closely with teaching staff and the pastoral team.
  • Support students\’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and social development through one-to-one and small group interventions.

Requirements

  • Experience working with young people in an educational or support setting.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Ideally a relevant qualifications in education, support work, or youth work (e.g. Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, Youth Work, or equivalent).
