We currently require x2 Joiners to help Property Services with the delivery of various larger scale Joinery works across our Major Void Backlog & In Year Programme plus assisting with various Planned Repairs Projects.
You would be working as part of a wider team delivering essential repairs/replacements to our empty void social housing properties or completing Planned Repair works for existing or new tenants.
We require individuals who are confident in carrying out the following aspects of joinery works to a high standard with a keen eye for detail:
- Removal & Renewal of Kitchens (standard or adapted)
- Removal & Renewal of Bathrooms, Shower Rooms & Wet Rooms as part of a 2 man team with a plumber
- Internal Second fix joinery
- Internal first fix joinery
- Fascia, Soffits and gutter work
- Garage door installations including frames
- Joinery repairs - including but not limited to floor boarding, door ease/renew, kitchen unit repairs
It is likely that most elements of joinery will be covered during the placement. Being confident in basic plumbing or having some experience in plumbing would also be advantageous but is not essential for the role.
Candidates must be willing to assist with helping other trades as and when required, this may also include general labouring, rubbish removals.
A full induction will be given prior to starting on site, with a weekly work schedule being issued whenever possible. A works vehicle will be provided for successful candidates, however you may be required to make your own way to the depot initially.
The void programme runs for 12 months however the placements will be reviewed at 3 month intervals.
