Interim Curriculum Manager – Maths (GCSE)
Location:Â FE College based in BlackburnContract: Interim, Full-Time (37 hours per week)Duration:Â Until Christmas initially whilst undergo permanent recruitment for the roleStart Date: ASAP
Are you an experienced leader in Maths education looking for an exciting interim opportunity? We are seeking a Curriculum Manager to take responsibility for the planning, implementation, and delivery of the GCSE Maths curriculum within a dynamic and forward-thinking educational environment.
The Role
As part of the management team, you will:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the Maths curriculum, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Drive curriculum planning, sequencing, and quality assurance processes.
- Manage staff and student performance to achieve key outcomes in recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression.
- Deliver a small teaching commitment – 2 days a week
- Support operational planning, timetabling, and resource allocation.
- Contribute to inspection readiness and quality improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree-level qualification and a recognised teaching qualification (Level 4 or above).
- Strong track record in delivering and managing curriculum across multiple levels.
- Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum structures, government policy, and quality assurance.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to analyse data and implement strategies for improvement.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Understanding of OFSTED Education Inspection Framework.
- Experience in managing people and leading change.
