About the Role:
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to join our dedicated team within the Adults Safeguarding Service. You’ll provide high-quality, trauma-informed support to survivors of domestic abuse, ensuring their safety and promoting independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initial contact, risk assessment (DASH RIC), and safety planning
- Crisis intervention, including housing, legal remedies, and target hardening
- Advocacy and representation at MARAC
- Coordinating referrals and safeguarding actions
- Building strong internal and external pathways with services like Women’s Aid, SARC, ISVA, and others
Requirements:
- IDVA qualification or proven experience in an IDVA role
- Experience supporting survivors through MARAC, legal systems, and housing pathways
- Enhanced DBS required
- CAADA training (or willingness to complete)
