As an Information Advice & Guidance Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering key employment support projects under the Economic Inactivity Trailblazer pilot and other initiatives.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver professional and impartial Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) to participants accessing employment support through Opportunity Sheffield.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners, including Sheffield Probation Service, Housing Associations, and DWP, to support the delivery of high-quality IAG.
- Connect participants with opportunities that enhance their career progression pathways and facilitate steps towards meaningful and sustained employment.
- Act as a positive advocate for the service, promoting impartial opportunities for participants.
- Support participants in progressing to employment initiatives within the service and/or further learning.
- Maintain a solid understanding of the programme to effectively support project delivery targets.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of employment projects.
- Plan and organise your workload efficiently and effectively.
- Work closely with the Strategic Support Co-ordinator to find innovative ways to support or respond to local employment demands.
- Identify and highlight potential risks and opportunities to programme managers.
