HIU Engineer

With over 40 years of experience in the HVAC industry, we are a trusted name in commercial chillers, boilers, and air conditioning. Over the past decade, we’ve expanded into Facilities Management services and, more recently, into the rapidly growing Energy Centre Services sector.

This new division has seen exceptional growth, with 16 sites serviced in the past year alone—and more on the horizon. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for skilled and motivated engineers to join our team and help shape the future of this exciting area of our business.

The Role

We are seeking experienced HIU Service and Maintenance Engineers to support our Energy Centre Services operations. This is a hands-on role that involves working on high-pressure and high-temperature installations within district heating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service and repair of HIU/CIU installations
• Pipework repairs and associated fixtures/fittings
• Meter replacements within HIUs
• Minor electrical repairs within HIUs
• Delivering excellent customer service
• Attending callouts as required
• Identifying and implementing asset performance improvements using market-leading optimisation software

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Time-served mechanical apprenticeship
• City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• IT literate and confident using CAFM systems
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and client-facing professionalism
• Experience working on pumps, valves, and general HVAC equipment

Desirable:

• Unvented hot water certification
• Previous experience with HIU breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance
