Join a top-performing sixth form college located in West London, renowned for its excellent A Level results, placing it within the top 10% of colleges nationally for A Level progress. Our Client is currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Lecturer in History and Politics to build on the success of our high-achieving History and Politics departments.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach AS and A Level History and Politics, as well as GCSE History, following the Pearson Edexcel specifications.
- Engage and inspire students aged 16-19 through dynamic and effective teaching methods.
- Assess, monitor, and record the progress of students and provide feedback to promote their academic and personal development.
- Participate in the development and planning of courses and materials, contributing to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and participate in departmental activities.
- If not already qualified, work towards obtaining the Level 5 teaching qualification with full support from the college.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in History, Politics, or a closely related subject.
- Experience teaching up to A Level is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of excellent teaching and learning outcomes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Commitment to professional development and willingness to obtain further teaching qualifications if necessary.
