Job Summary
To safely work in the Engineered Products team and have responsibility in the heat treatment of classified rotating shaft components. This position also involves assisting in the sawing of special alloys, shaft singles/strings, remelt electrodes and general sample taking/cutting to length.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safe crane handling of a wide range of product forms using cranes and FLTs.
- Operation of a Brinell machine.
- Assisting with the operation of large/small saws.
- Adherence to technical heat treatment instructions for material compliance.
- Updating and bookings of the computer system.
- Programming of furnace control systems.
- Assistance with dispatching of material from the department.
- Working under own initiative.
- Completion of daily compliance checks.
- Strict adherence to Company health and safety procedures.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Involvement in improvement activities.
- Problem solving reports.
- Method improvement.
- Upkeep of 5S.
- Active participation in team meetings.
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards.
