Reed Recruitment are recruiting for a full-time, permanent, Groundworker on behalf of Southampton City Council. You will be part of a busy Team within Southampton City Council, undertaking routine repairs and projects throughout our empty properties across the city. As the work is varied a flexible approach is required to meet changing needs and tight deadlines. Excellent customer service skills, enthusiasm, and a ‘can do’ attitude is all essential.
Your duties will include:
- Working on repairs on housing stock and communal areas.
- Carrying out repairs & replacement of fencing.
- Repairs and replacements of concrete paths.
- Excavations for repair and renewal of watermains.
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Groundwork experience is essential (slabbing, fencing, drainage, concreting).
- Any Plant tickets (CPCS OR NPORS) for dumper, roller or excavator would be advantageous.
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
