Southampton - City Council Works

£36,124 to £39,513 per year - plus a van for work use, all power tools, uniform and PPE.

Full time - Permanent

Reed Recruitment are recruiting for a full-time, permanent, Groundworker on behalf of Southampton City Council. You will be part of a busy Team within Southampton City Council, undertaking routine repairs and projects throughout our empty properties across the city. As the work is varied a flexible approach is required to meet changing needs and tight deadlines. Excellent customer service skills, enthusiasm, and a ‘can do’ attitude is all essential.

Your duties will include:

  • Working on repairs on housing stock and communal areas.
  • Carrying out repairs & replacement of fencing.
  • Repairs and replacements of concrete paths.
  • Excavations for repair and renewal of watermains.

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Groundwork experience is essential (slabbing, fencing, drainage, concreting).
  • Any Plant tickets (CPCS OR NPORS) for dumper, roller or excavator would be advantageous.
  • Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
