Day-to-day of the role:
- Horticultural Maintenance: Operate machinery like ride-on mowers and use hand tools for grass cutting, hedge trimming, and pruning.
- Litter Management: Manage and clean litter and dog bins and the surrounding areas.
- General Maintenance: Conduct litter picking, remove fly-tipped rubbish, and install dog bins.
- Improvement Work: Undertake painting, erect temporary fencing, and install signage to enhance park facilities.
- Health & Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients as required to discuss maintenance needs and feedback.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and record Waste Transfer Notes in compliance with legislation.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Responsible for driving and maintaining council vehicles.
- Training: Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and meet job requirements.
- Performance: Achieve performance targets as outlined in Service Level Agreements.
