Join a leading company in Freight Forwarding, specialising in Ocean, Air Freight, and Road Haulage. With over 30 years of experience, this fully independent company offers a comprehensive global shipping and freight forwarding service. We are looking for a Junior Freight Forwarding Coordinator to join our growing team. This key role within the Operations Team is crucial for maintaining excellent customer service for Overseas Agents & Import Clients.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Handle customer queries via telephone and email.
- Process customer bookings and input data into Multifreight/Cargowise and other systems.
- Monitor and maintain the shared inbox.
- Obtain pricing and provide quotes/service information.
- Check and send customer documentation and produce bills of lading.
- Undertake research and network to remain competitive.
- Work proactively to anticipate, manage, and meet customer requirements.
- Persuade customers of the high levels of service the company provides in terms of quality, service, and price.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Freight Forwarding role is essential.
- Good IT skills, with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent customer service ethic, with a strong desire to satisfy customer needs and achieve results.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to solve problems and overcome difficulties.
- A proactive, positive, and self-disciplined approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure.
