This role is crucial in providing exceptional freight forwarding services and customer support directly on a client site, tailored to both customer and company needs.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Complete end-to-end forwarding activities specific to your role.
  • Handle Dangerous Goods paperwork for all transportation modes.
  • Collaborate closely with both internal and external customers, focusing on superior customer service.
  • Organise transport by air, road, and sea.
  • Utilise Next Gen/MS Office for various operational tasks.
  • Ensure timely updates for invoicing, job costing, CIA, Netting, and milestones.
  • Manage customs entries and maintain cost control.
  • Support senior forwarders, supervisors, and your line manager as needed.
  • Complete all required reports, including those specific to internal and customer needs, within set deadlines.
  • Address and resolve queries from customers and suppliers.
  • Adopt Best Practice models and maintain a clean desk policy.
  • Participate in customer reviews to enhance visibility and relationships.
  • Assist in customer and business development alongside sales and management teams.
  • Operate within the company's QA system and handle any additional tasks as directed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • GCSE/O level standard education or equivalent.
  • Proven customer service and operational experience within the business sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of international transportation and logistics, specifically in export Air, Sea, and Road operations.
  • Understanding of financials and their impact on business.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and processes used in the transport sector.
  • Fluent in English and any other languages beneficial for operations.
  • IATA qualification and ability to pass the reval exam every 2 years.
