Reed Practice have been engaged by a global leading professional consultancy to recruit an Assistant Outsourcing Manager, from either practice or industry. The role can be based in Cambridge but will be required to attend a weekly and monthly team meeting in Ipswich.
The role is part of the firms’ Business Services and Outsourcing team, working with the owners and senior leadership teams of high-growth, ambitious, innovative organisations who fuel the economy.
The team is a crucial partner to their clients, providing a much needed service solution to their ever-evolving needs. As Assistant Outsourcing Manager you will take responsibility of a portfolio of clients, ranging from SME’s to large global groups, building a significant and valuable relationship.
You will assume responsibility of the daily operations including reviewing the first class bookkeeping, VAT returns and management accounts produced and ensure that these are delivered in a timely manner meeting deadlines and budgets.
Other aspects include –
- Drawing on your analytical skills to review data for anomalies, consulting with clients and internal teams to provide solutions.
- Act as a key contact with clients; advising on their financial information, offering advice.
- Undertaking adhoc analysis, projects and meeting on clients’ site when required.
- Partnering with other colleagues within the organisation to ensure the continued delivery of an excellent service
- Maintain your detailed knowledge of various software packages and tools.

- Have proven success in a financial outsourcing or related role, either in professional services or industry.
- Possess excellent communication and analytical skills, with a natural flair for solving problems.
- Be exceptionally organised, able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Have a keen interest and sound knowledge of a range of software packages.
- Be passionate about delivering high quality work, impacting clients’ business through strategic business advice.
- Hold a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) but this is not essential if you can demonstrate the desired experience to an exemplary standard.
