Are you a dynamic Finance Manager seeking to play a pivotal role in steering the financial direction of a growing company? This position offers the opportunity to lead financial operations and contribute to strategic planning, ensuring financial health and compliance throughout the organisation.
My client is seeking a Finance Manager with a robust background in financial management and a proven track record of driving efficiency and strategic financial planning. In this role, you will oversee critical financial functions including the management of ledgers, payroll processing, and the preparation of management accounts and reports. You will be instrumental in leading the annual budget setting process and providing strategic financial input to shape the company’s future.
You will manage a small team, fostering their growth and development, while also engaging with senior stakeholders to report on financial status and strategic initiatives. Your expertise will ensure compliance with financial regulations and help navigate the complexities of financial planning and risk management.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Financial Duties: Manage purchase, sales, and general ledgers, oversee VAT and CIS returns, handle Companies House duties, and process monthly payroll.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and compile monthly management accounts, MI reports, and Board Packs. Conduct project costing reviews and year-end reporting.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead budget setting and financial forecasting processes, collaborating with various departments to align financial strategies.
- Cash and Liquidity Management: Oversee payments, manage cash flows, and coordinate with legal arrangements.
- Financial Analysis, Compliance & Risk Management: Provide decision support through financial modelling, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and manage audits and insurance policies.
- Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Lead and mentor, communicate key financial data at board meetings, and maintain relationships with external partners.
- Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant - ESSENTIAL
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in financial management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of financial regulations, advanced Excel skills, familiarity with Sage (preferred), and excellent leadership capabilities.
