Finance Assistant

  • Location: Aberdeen Centre
  • Job Type: Part-Time, Permanent
  • Salary: Flexible

Reed Accountancy are currently working with an established organisation who are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis. Working 3 days a week in the office, the successful candidate would assist across accounts in the day-to-day duties of credit control and supporting the company purchase ledger.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Resolving supplier queries efficiently and effectively
  • Assisting with month-end tasks, such as reporting and accruals
  • Performing credit control duties to ensure timely debt collection
  • Chasing overdue payments
  • Preparing customer statements and debt reports
  • Maintaining credit control records
  • Supporting the accountant with other transactional and ad hoc duties

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar accounting role
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable and credit control
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail
