Reed is recruiting on behalf of a leading chocolatier for a proactive Field Merchandiser. This role is an exciting opportunity to increase sales and enhance brand presence within a defined territory. Ideal for someone with a strong customer-facing background, driven to achieve results and build impactful relationships.
Your territory will cover Cardiff, Swansea and the surrounding areas. Across the year it averages out as 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, due to the seasonal element of the chocolate sector, you will work 5 days per week for 8 months of the year and 4 days per week for 4 months of the year.
- January – April – 40 hours, Mon – Fri
- May – August – 30 hours, Tues – Fri
- September – December – 40 hours, Mon – Fri
Duties:
- Visit grocery multiples within your territory, focusing on stock management, shelf management, promotional compliance, and relationship management.
- Ensure all promotional activity within accounts on your territory is correct, including the placement of POS materials.
- Achieve added value targets, promotional and planogram compliance as agreed by the national account team.
- Ensure that all stores comply with centrally agreed planograms.
- Compile and work to Journey plans according to appropriate call sequences.
- Handle field sales administration tasks.
- Deliver outstanding premium visibility in store through relationship building and influencing in-store contacts/management.
Requirements:
- Residency in or close to the territory.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Ability to build solid customer relationships.
- Outgoing, confident personality.
- Demonstrated drive for results and ambition.
- Good numerical and written skills.
- Strong planning and organisation skills.
- Previous experience in merchandising, retail, or sales is desirable.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
