Job Description
Facilities Assistant
- Annual Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 per annumÂ
- Location: Multiple locations including Ipswich, Cambridge, Chelmsford and Norwich.Â
- Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to manage buildings, infrastructure, and compliance across hard services. Reporting to the Senior Estates Manager, this role involves working with staff, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver services aligned with KPIs and SLAs. The successful candidate will support operations across 4 offices.Â
Day-to-day of the role:
- Maintain buildings according to schedules, policies, and legislation.
- Escort subcontractors for both Soft and Hard Services.
- Ensure Health & Safety and statutory compliance across all sites.
- Manage both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Support Front of House and Reprographics teams where applicable.
- Handle deliveries and collections, primarily between Norwich, Ipswich, and Cambridge.
- Assist the Records Department and collaborate with the Operations team.
- Cover for the Senior Estates Officer during their absences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and statutory compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and navigate complex operational challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders.
- Experience in handling logistics and deliveries.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
