Reed FE are delighted to be working with this College in South Yorkshire to assist them in recruiting two Fabrication & Welding Lecturers, one full time and the other part time. The College train over 11,000 people each year, including over 1,000 apprentices. They work at the centre of local communities, contributing to civic life and economic renewal.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivering lessons, planning and preparing learning activities, assessing student work, and providing feedback.
  • Designing and implementing engaging and relevant curriculum, often with a practical focus, and incorporating digital literacy, maths, and English.
  • Providing guidance and support to students, including mentoring and acting as a role model, and addressing diverse learning needs.
  • Meeting quality standards, adhering to academic calendars, and producing necessary documentation.
  • Staying updated with industry best practices and engaging in continuous professional development.
Requirements:
  • UK recognised teaching and or assessing qualification or the willingness to work towards.
  • Recent vocational experience in the relevant subject.
  • Prior teaching/assessing experience is desirable.
  • DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
